the thing i kept doing was losing track of long agent sessions - starting gemini-cli (or anything similar), walking away, and coming back to a terminal full of finished work that i forgot existed.
so i made Wudland: an iphone app where your coding agents literally live in a small medieval pixel village. every agent session gets a desk at the village guild: working ones write by candlelight and hammer at the forge, finished ones nap, and a stuck one walks around with a red ! until you come ask what happened.
there is no native gemini plugin yet, but
wudland run -- gemini-cliwraps any terminal agent: busy while the process runs, done or failed when it exits. (claude code, codex and opencode have richer plugin hooks, and scripts can post letters:wudland letter "Backup finished" "Copied at 03:00.")no accounts, no server: agent status is encrypted on your machine (aes-256-gcm) and carried by an ntfy relay you can self-host. pairing is a six-digit code on your phone plus an eight-digit code you eyeball on both screens.
the iphone app itself is in app store review right now; everything else runs today. curiosity welcome: what would you want a "village view" of your agents to actually tell you?
