I built BankBridge, a remote MCP server that lets Gemini CLI answer questions about your own bank, credit card and brokerage accounts: "how much did I spend on restaurants last month?", "which subscriptions am I still paying for?", "am I spending more than I make?"
It's packaged as a Gemini CLI extension. The manifest is just an
httpUrlserver, plus aGEMINI.mdthat tells the model which tool fits which question and how to read amounts (positive is money going out, negative is money coming in). Then run
/mcp auth bankbridgeto sign in through the browser. No key to paste. All 12 tools are read-only and fetch from the bank on every call, so nothing can move money and you're never looking at a stale copy. US banks only. It's a paid service, $5/mo per connected bank.
If you'd rather see what the tools return before signing up, the key
bbk_demoserves a set of sample accounts:Repo: https://github.com/bankbridge-money/bankbridge-plugin

If the routing in
GEMINI.mdsends a question to the wrong tool, I'd like to hear about it.All reactions
