Start a community slack (or discord?) workspace

A lot of Red Hat people are working on fullsend, but if someone outside of RH wanted to hack on fullsend with us, they wouldn't have an easy way to collaborate outside of issues and gh discussions.

Creating a public slack instance is easy. Should we do it so that there's a landing place for people?

We run a contributors forum on wednesdays. Should we open that to the public?

+1. There is a growing list of enterprises interested in autonomous software development technologies . particularly fullsend has gotten quite bit of interest. It would be essential to have this public channel to encourage potential users collaborate with us. In terms of contributors forum, i am ok with public forum and but continue to keep internal separate so that contributors can talk freely.

Can we try to use the GitHub discussions? IMO this would give us: Better discoverability + less places for us to remember to be in + we already have ADR to get our agents there

For those of us at RH, it would help to have an automation that routes notifications about gh discussion activity to slack. Without that, I'd be at risk of missing discussions here.

From your PoV @AshwinUgale would gh discussions be just as good as slack or discord?

Thanks @ralphbean , from my POV, I’d still prefer Slack/Discord for actual engagement. I’m much more likely to notice something there than remember to check GitHub Discussions. Discussions probably makes more sense for keeping longer-term project conversations organized.

@ralphbean this ties into the outsider point. I opened an issue a few days back fullsend-ai/fullsend#7246 and noticed it never got triaged like other issues do. Looks like non-members just don't trigger the agents, which makes sense as a cost/abuse guard.

Honestly I wasn't sure if I'm supposed to ask someone to run triage on it, or if it's a sign outsiders aren't really meant to contribute here. Either way, if someone has a sec for fullsend-ai/fullsend#7246 I'd appreciate the eyes.
