Hey @ds1, First off, I have no actual concerns but when setting up the plugin I did not feel like I could grant the permissions needed. While I am relatively ok to grant read & write permissions for my repos, it was requesting the same for organisations I was part of.

Is there any plans to allow a user to make the repo upfront and only request access to that?

@dashouse - Version 1.3 lets you now create the repo upfront, and includes starter files to facilitate getting started quickly. Check it out and see if this properly addresses your need and use case!
