Four betas in, and it's shipped. Everything you tested across beta.1 to beta.4 is now the stable build.
Get it:
brew upgrade --cask whatcable, or the in-app updater, or straight from the release page. If you're running a beta, the updater will offer you 1.3.0 as an upgrade, so there's nothing special to do. The official homebrew-cask copy lags an hour or two behind while their bot catches up.Full notes are on the release. The short version: the connected devices list now shows what is plugged into what instead of a flat pile of hubs, cables carrying a USB-IF certificate say so, and M1 Pro / Max / Ultra finally get their charging contract read out of the SMC.
What came from this group specifically:
One outstanding thing. @cannotcollide reported USB devices showing up inside an OWC Express 1M2, which has no USB ports to put them in. It stopped happening before I could reproduce it, and the code has not changed since, so it is dormant rather than fixed. If you see anything nested under a device that could not possibly be hosting it, that is the one I want. A test-kit run with that setup connected would settle it in an afternoon.
Otherwise: bugs get their own issue labelled
beta, same as before. A plain "looks fine on my [Mac]" is still worth posting. Thanks all. This one was a lot of change in one release and it went out in better shape because you kicked it around first.
