Feedback for hardware Denon AVR X7200W and suggestion for stations.ini

Works with the Denon AVR X7200W.

I found it easiest to disable SSL and the internal DNS server, point DNSServerIPAddress to my router and make an entry on the router to point *vtuner.com to the server running ytuner.

How is radio-browser.info used? I can't connect the dots from stations.ini to that page.

Setting up additional entries in stations.ini is tedious.

What is the supposed workflow for adding stations?

Sure, you can do it, but not everyone knows how to configure their router.

All radio-browser.info sttaions you can find in Radiobrowser main manu [MainMenu Items] unless you have changed it in the [Radiobrowser] section the ytuner.ini file and [MainMenu Items] section of the avr.ini file and also depends on the [RadioBrowser Filtering] settings. Most important : The radio-browser.info server specified in the RBAPIURL parameter must respond correctly, and I have no control over that. Carefully read the entire contents of the ytuner.ini and avr.ini files if you haven't already. This will help you understand how the application works and discover some interesting features.

That's true. Some people prefer to work with text files (like me), while others would prefer a web interface. Over a year ago, I started working on YTuner 2.0, which is expected to include many changes, many of which I've already implemented. However, some life changes have taken place, and for some time now, I haven't had time to focus on YTuner development. Of course, I'm not abandoning the project and I will return to work sooner or later, but other things currently take priority.

When it comes to easily adding and removing new stations, I start browsing radio-browser.info radio stations and I use Bookmarks, which my Yamaha supports and added stations become visible in the "Bookmarks" menu. I don't know if your Denon also has this functionality...

That wasn't meant as "Folks, this is how everyone should do it." Sorry for not being sufficiently clear here.

Most people won't have the luxury anyway because the consumer routers out there simply don't give you the option. I just wanted to remind readers that if you can do it, it's the easiest and most stable way. I tried unsuccessfully a lot of stuff before learning about ytuner, so I thought giving as much info as possible might help someone.

Thanks for the explanation. I need to explore this a lot more, I posted after my first successful attempt to have the AVR seeing stations again. Not much time to open up much on the AVR.

I also strongly prefer text files. The real work is finding suitable icons, for the stream itself a search term of ' stream url' was fine. I need to browse radio-browser.info a lot more and get a feel for it.

And thanks for making this project, your v1.2.6 is already great. I hope that you can work on v2.0 soon -- looking forward to it!
