Feature request: Edit due date #32

Description

Checklist

  • I have filled out the template to the best of my ability.
  • This only contains 1 feature request (if you have multiple feature requests, open one feature request for each feature request).
  • This issue is not a duplicate feature request of previous feature requests.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

It would be awesome to be able to edit the next due date for a task, without adjusting the last completed date or scheduled interval.

Why? Some of my recurring home maintenance tasks have intervals which are on estimated intervals rather than hard, fixed schedules. For example:

  • winterizing lawn sprinklers is best done in the week prior to overnight freezing. As the due date is approaching, I can review the weather forecast to refine when the task should be done.
  • batteries for devices (not connected to Home Assistant) need to be checked, and replaced/recharged when needed. If the battery seems to be draining faster or slower than expected, I can estimate when to check next.
  • the filter for my furnace's electronic air cleaner needs to be checked starting at 6 months and replaced once sufficiently dirty. If I don't change the filter after checking, I can move the due date to the next check interval.

(The last two of these would also benefit from a notes field to record findings-- #31)

Describe the solution you'd like

I'd like to see this as an option when editing the task, or as a separate action on the Maintenance dashboard. The latter of these is probably less ambiguous from an implementation/usability perspective.
