When publishing "mp4" files as comments or as published review, the videos are converted like they are 'shot videos' and the resolution changes to the project default resolution

The expected behaviour of video attachment in comments and published reviews is to keep them original, with no conversion. That happens if we upload a 'mov' video file ( they stay original ). But if we attach a 'mp4' file to any comment or published review, the video resolution changes to the default project resolution. So our conclusion is that somehow the video was tagged for conversion, like if it is a "shot video'.
That didn't happen to the previous version of kitsu we've been using that was released about an year ago ( I didn't remember the version )
We played with the project resolution and re-attached the mp4 file as a published review and every time the video is re-encoded it matches the current project resolution when displayed in the comments section. ( that only happens to mp4 files, not mov files )
