Will wasm run faster than other knative functions?

Hi,
I just tried the project, and run it successfully under local minikube. I noticed that the image size is quite large:

I thought wasm applications should be more lightweight than normal applications, but why the docker image is so large?
Will it actually be faster than other native functions?

Have you done any performance test for this?
