Releases should be merged to main

Dear @gkostkowski,

I noticed that you have a release branch which you are merging to develop. Remember to merge the release to main when ready with the release.

@victoriobentivogli remember to check that the main branch is updated when the release is ready, that the proper release tag is created and that the RC tags are removed. When done let me know so that we can re-point the Antora playbook in ourinternal docs site to the main branch. Currently it points to develop because main is still empty.

Dear @rousso,

My understanding was that @victoriobentivogli would open and merge the PRs to main once the RC is ready to be officially released as a stable version. To make this easier, I have already opened the following PR draft for him: OP-TED/entity-resolution-docs#11.

@victoriobentivogli, I also opened similar PR drafts for the other four ERS repositories. Once it's been confirmed that this RC will become the stable release, please update the version numbers in the src/VERSION files from 1.1.0-rc.3 to 1.1.0 before merging the PRs.
