This project aims to create a piece of software that uses the Facebook developer tools/API (and maybe other social media?) to help people come up with gift ideas for friends and family.
Ideally, the software would be able to help people find out the interests of their friends based on their social media activity. After getting that information, the program would generate ideas for gifts and search Amazon and other online stores for products. It should allow people to manually add interests, filter results by price/sales, etc. There is a lot of room for other features to be implemented as well.
