We need @nickoneill to help define something like donateOn returned by the API to decide whether this should show.

I've been debating what to do here for a while. On one hand we could just add a registerOn and hard code everything in the apps. On the other hand, we could define a set of "widget" types we support (newsletter subscription, donate prompt, registration, etc) plus one freeform one that just displays text and a button for flexibility. Then we could pass the list of widgets that should show per issue in the API response. This would let us do things like remove the donate view from people who just donated (which I know bothers people), display a "sign up for No Kings protest near you" in the few weeks leading up to a protest date without having to ship new apps.

Right now the website has this view:

It's a title, some markdown, button text and a link. It would fit the "generic action" widget well. Or we could do a registration-specific widget.

It's a bit more complex, but I think it might be worth it. WDYT?

I think a generic action widget would be great! I could start with voter registration for now and we can swap to generic action when it's ready?
